I always go with my girlfriend, because she has to carry a lot off the additional extra weights Alone it is not possible to carry al the equipment. (antenna's,poles,mast,trx,amplifiër,cables&coax;etc)   Not only the flight, Hotel, taxi's, but.. Traveling with the extra bagage weight (antenna, amplifier etc) on airlines, in taxi is more expensive than normal. Also, Obtaining a radio lincense callsign in foreign countries is not as cheap as most think. Especially in Africa. In most cases you have to pay extra, customs fees on arrival, bagage handeling fees, and in some cases (Benin lincense) i have to pay a local guy to help me obtain the callsign license.   Any possible support can be transfferred via PayPal.
